SCRIP……THE
NEW,
EASY
and NO EXTRA
MONEY WAY TO RAISE FUNDS FOR THE CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL BAND
SCRIP As a new fundraiser that everyone is excited about, we are beginning to sell SCRIP. It is an extremely easy and profitable fundraiser…..a simple program where we order gift cards to be used at literally hundreds of locations, including stores, restaurants, hotels, airlines, gas stations, etc. As parents, family and friends of the CHS Band, we order the gift cards at face value by completing an Order Form indicating which Gift Cards we want to purchase. The CHS Band receives a percentage of the cost of the gift card (up to 16% in some cases!) The percentage profits by merchant are listed on the order sheet. For example, if you buy a gift card for $100 worth of groceries at Kroger, the band gets $3.00 to $5.00 depending on the percentage. $100 at Barnes & Noble yields $9.00 back to the Band. It costs you NOTHING EXTRA and the Band, and therefore our students, profit greatly. After sending in money for the cards with your order list, you receive the gift cards and use them as you would cash, or use them to give as gift cards to others. So, if you shop at all (everyone uses gas and food), your regular purchases can provide great money for the CHS Band. You can use these gift/type cards as for any regular expenditures you make!!! IDEAS: In addition to purchasing them for yourself, you can buy them for friends or relatives. They are also great to pre-purchase for gifts at the holidays. Keep some on hand for those last minute or forgotten gifts needed immediately. Absolutely great as gifts for all of those ‘hard to buy for’ people in your lives. Simply fill in the form and attach a check and the gift cards can be sent home with your child or can be picked up every Monday from 6 – 6:30pm during Marching Band Practice Season.
